The Normandy coast and beaches

A day in Jullouville

Wide sandy beach on the Normandy coast

Jullouville is a friendly seaside resort with a wide sandy beach. You can swim, sunbathe, stroll beside the sea, surf and, of course, enjoy crêpes. It is perfect for a traditional beach day, with restaurants and terraces along the promenade and in the village.

Walking at Carolles-Plage

Beach and seaside town in Normandy

Walkers can park at Croix Paqueray near Carolles-Plage. Beautiful paths lead across the cliffs, with views over the sea and the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel. The combination of high coastline, beach and wide panoramas makes this one of the loveliest walking areas on the coast.

Granville and the islands

Granville and the islands

Granville is a lively harbour town with an old quarter, shops, restaurants and sea views. Boats leave the harbour for Jersey and Guernsey, making it easy to combine a visit to Granville with a day on one of the islands off the Normandy coast.

Walking in the bay

Walking across the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel

The bay is beautiful from the shore, but it is even more special to explore it on foot with a guide. During the walk you experience the immense open landscape and see Mont-Saint-Michel from a completely different perspective. It is a unique experience during a stay in Normandy.
