In Ger, about 6 kilometres away, you will find a bakery and a small supermarket. Tinchebray is around 8 kilometres away and has bakeries, shops and a Carrefour with a petrol station. For a wider choice, head to Flers or Vire, where there are large supermarkets and familiar shops.

Friendly weekly markets

A French weekly market is part of the Normandy experience. Vire has a lovely market on Friday morning and Tinchebray on Saturday morning. You will find fresh vegetables, cheese, bread, charcuterie and other local produce—a perfect way to shop while enjoying the atmosphere of the region.

Restaurants and crêpes

In beautiful Domfront you can eat very well, for example pizza in an old inn at L’Echauguette. Avranches has welcoming restaurants serving crêpes and the French menu du jour. Lunch or dinner in a historic town makes a day out in Normandy even more enjoyable.

Normandy is famous for apples, cider, calvados, butter, cream and cheeses such as Camembert. You can taste these regional products at markets, small producers and restaurants. Along the coast, fish, mussels and other seafood are also delicious choices.
