Walks from the cottage

From the tiny house you can step straight onto quiet country lanes. The area is a patchwork of green hills, fields, hedgerows, small hamlets and old farms. Every walk is different, and the unhurried pace is part of the pleasure: simply leave the house, choose a direction and enjoy the Normandy countryside.

Walking at Étang du Moulin

A short distance from the cottage, near Ger, you will find the turn-off to Étang du Moulin. You can park in this wooded area and enjoy a lovely forest walk. It is an ideal place for a peaceful morning or afternoon among the trees, with plenty of spots for a picnic.

Cycling through the bocage countryside

The small roads around Tinchebray-Bocage are wonderful to explore by bicycle. You ride through the typical bocage landscape of tall hedges, rolling fields and quiet villages. Along the way you will pass bakeries, little churches and beautiful viewpoints—the kind of ride where the journey is every bit as enjoyable as the destination.

Peace, wildlife and stars

There are no immediate neighbours around the tiny house. During the day you hear birds and the wind in the trees, at dusk you may spot deer, and at night the sky is genuinely dark. It is a wonderful place to watch the stars, sit outdoors and unwind after a day out.
